1. Tarmaroo Scout Camp – Bluewater, Townsville

Tarmaroo is a 34 acre campground owned by Kennedy Region Scouts next to Bluewater Creek.  As well as plenty of camping space and shady trees , there are modern and up to date facilities at the campsite.

There is a well equipped kitchen, a conference room, new bunk beds that sleep up to 50 people, a huge powered open building, a disabled shower and toilet, female and male ablution blocks. A laundry, 2  leader/adult rooms with 4 beds each and 2 dormitories.

2. Nyeri Scout Centre – Meeting Room at the Scout Shop

A Meeting Room is available to hire at 387 Charles Street, Kirwan with access to kitchen and bathroom facilities.  Room will fit up to 20 people.

3. Sir Leslie Wilson Scout Camp – Florence Bay, Magnetic Island

 

Magnetic Island is off  Townsville and is accessible by Barge or Ferry and then Bus service, own vehicle, or hiking.
Facilities – One large (20×10 metre) brick building with gas burners and 12 volt lighting. The building is used mainly for cooking etc. and tents are the main accommodation, although there are bunks. Toilet facilities are in the nearby National Park. No showers are available on site, although you may bring your own camp shower. Drinking water is available only from pump on site tank.
